I love today’s Online Media Daily: Online & Mobile: Can’t We All Just Get Along?

As the perfect follow-up to yesterday’s post, this article – more focused on mobile advertising – advocates “a move to a unified advertising platform. Mobile needs to plug in seamlessly with online ad buys.”

…My point (yes, I actually do have one)…don’t “try” mobile because you want to try mobile. Develop your campaign – your offer, your target audience, all that good stuff – and include mobile as a channel within your campaign. Figure out how it fits best in that 360-degree campaign plan. Support your national TV spot with a text campaign, an iPhone app, a mobile site where folks can register for your sweepstakes.

Some of the fun stuff going on behind the scenes: We all got our iPhones. No desk phones here, no sir. We’re walking the walk with a virtual PBX and iPhones for the whole team.
